Landbank Savings Account Limit

Your Landbank ATM card or passbook account might be stolen or lost or you distrust Landbank.
That's why you want to close your LandBank bank account.
But in case you're just a victim of unauthorized transactions or someone withdraws from your account without your authorization, you can consider to just block your LandBank account.
But if you're DECIDED to close it, you can choose any of the two (2) options:

Option 1

For emergency or urgent situation, call LandBank Customer Service immediately. If your LandBank ATM card, Passbook or Checking Account is lost or stolen, request the customer service to block that account from unauthorized transactions.
Blocking your account doesn't mean closing it. Blocking of account is just temporary. It will stop or block any unauthorized transactions (withdrawal, deposit, etc.) to your account.
After blocking your account and you decide to close it, you should go to any Landbank branch and withdraw all your money.
Don't forget to bring valid id (government-issued) and request for closure of your account.

Option 2

Another option is to leave your LandBank account inactive. Of course, you need to withdraw all the money before you leave it behind.
If your LandBank bank account remains inactive (no transactions) for two years, LandBank banking system will detect it and will automatically close it. You can open a new account afterwards.
But in case you want to use again your inactive bank account (inactive for two years), you need to pay the penalty for falling below the required maintaining balance and another service charge for dormant account.
So it's better to open a new account. ;o)

• Two (2) valid id's
• Two pieces 1'x1' photo id (recent and formal photo is recommended)
• Php 500 initial deposit (for account with ATM access)
• TIN or Tax Identification Number, if employed
• Proof of Billing (e.g. Landline/Internet bill, electricity bill, water bill, etc.)

• To avoid your bank account being closed, you must maintain the required minimum balance, transact to your account (deposit or withdraw) at least once a year. Dormant or inactive LandBank accounts for more than two years could be closed or could be charged a dormancy fee.
• Enroll your LandBank account to its internet banking facility called LandBank iAccess Retail Internet Banking for easier and more convenient access of your account. With internet banking, you can monitor you LandBank account anytime and anywhere and you can also pay your bills online.
• It's better to maintain the minimum balance and earn interest than to pay the penalty of falling below maintaining balance.
